Agus Yudhoyono Respects Ruhut Despite Not Supporting Him

Jakarta governor candidate Harimurti Agus Yudhoyono respected different attitudes of the two cadres of Democratic Party, Ruhut Sitompul and Hayono Isman, who do not support him in the upcoming Jakarta governor election.

"Everyone has their own views. It's a democracy, so we have to respect that,” said Agus in Jakarta, Sunday.


Agus attended the Tjanting Fun Day, which is part of activities to commemorate the National Batik Day.

On that occasion, a number of cadres of the Democratic Party also attended the event, including such Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Nachrowi Ramli, Ramadhan Pohan, and Roy Surto. PAN politicians Hatta Rajasa and Bima Arya were also present.

Speaking separately, Democratic Party cadre Roy Suryo said Ruhut and Hayono are is no longer considered as party cadres because both have never seen again in the office of the Party.

"They were never seen again, which means that, de facto, they not considered as cadres anymore," said Roy.

Roy added that both would soon be processed by the Supervisory Committee of the Democratic Party to account for the differences in their supports.
